History

Otto von Bismarck's political economy was not a personal investment portfolio, but it offers a useful architecture of national capital. In 19th-century Prussia and Germany, power rested on industrialization, railways, taxation, military organization, social insurance and diplomatic balance. Bismarck's system sought to strengthen the state while reducing revolutionary pressure through social legislation and pragmatic alliances.

Philosophy

This is a resilience-through-state-capacity portfolio. It diversifies not across securities but across pillars of power: industry, fiscal base, military credibility, social stability and diplomacy. The goal is to avoid catastrophic fragility. The tradeoff is bureaucracy, rigidity and dependence on competent governance.
